The History of Summit Information Resources
Since its inception in 1992, Summit Information Resources has helped companies find quality IT equipment with a personal touch. The name is in honor of the beautiful, historic Summit Avenue of St. Paul, Minnesota.
Summit started in the IT business by selling used DEC equipment. If you remember DEC, then you know that Summit has been in the used IT equipment business for a long time! DEC, of course, consisted of not only networking equipment but also servers and storage products. Similar to where we are today, we continue to serve network hardware companies as well as server and storage industries with top quality brands like Cisco, HP, Dell and Juniper. The company has continued to grow, from the hiring of the first employee in 1993 to the thriving company that it is today.
We have been at our current location in Eagan, Minnesota since 2002. This location has served us well and we have been able to grow over the years. To keep up with this growth, we doubled the size our space in the fall of 2014. We continue to deliver personal, attentive customer care while being an enjoyable company that’s easy to do business with.
